Porsche 911 ST 2.4 Tour de France (LEGENDS COLLECTION)
The French pairing of Gérard Larrousse and Maurice Gélin came third overall in the Tour de France Automobile on 27 September 1970, driving this famous 911 ST 2.4. The familiar and famous yellow and red hippie liveried 911 finished just behind two factory Matra MS650 prototypes. This well-known 911 ST 2.4 has the distinction of being the lightest 911 ever produced as Larrousse offered the mechanics a bottle of champagne in a bet for every additional kilogram they could save. Eventually the car weighed in at just 789 kg, helping them to earn that all-important third place finish.
